A LC website that I really enjoy and
aspire to model my own after is the LC at George Vanier Elementary.
https://www.surreyschools.ca/schools/georgesvanier/Library/Pages/default.aspx
Things I appreciate about the website:
-is bright and colourful
-is user/student friendly, large simple
text
-describes the purpose of the space for
reading, making, designing and creating
-it's focus on togetherness celebrating
trial and error
-has many examples of the kinds of
digital media and work being created
-has some hypertext to click on randomly
to navigate what is of interest to the individual
-has few recommended links at the end,
not too overwhelming
At this site I learn a lot about how
things are done in the LC. For example the use of Vimeo as a platform for
sharing student work. "Vimeo" is a hyperlink included in the text of
the website, as is "Global Fridge" that links a paper written by the
TL educating others about the importance of sharing work and how it
intrinsically motivates students.
